Residential Walk Behind Mower Tune-Up Checklist

• Check oil level
  
• Inspect primer
  
• Check crankshaft for damage
  
• Check ignition and compression
  
• Inspect starter (pull or electric)
  
• Check self propel and adjust
  
• Change engine oil
  
• Change spark plug
  
• Replace air filter / pre-filter
  
• Sharpen and balance mower blade
  
• Lubricate all pivot points
  
• Adjust and lubricate cables
  
• Drop carburetor bowl and clean
  
• Flush fuel system
  
• Add gas additive

Chainsaw Tune-Up Checklist

• Check compression
  
• Check ignition
  
• Check engine anti-vibe mounts
  
• Clean flywheel and cylinder fins for proper cooling
  
• Check and clean spark arrestor screen in muffler; remove bar and chain
  
• Inspect / clean clutch and chain break area
  
• Clean bar oil passage and bar rails
  
• Check bar oiler for proper oil flow; reinstall bar and chain
  
• Check operation of the chain break
  
• Sharpen chain
  
• Replace spark plug
  
• Replace air filter
  
• Replace fuel filter
  
• Tighten all hardware
  
• Test, run, and adjust carburetor as needed, per OEM specifications

Snow Blower Tune-Up and Service Checklist

• Check and top off auger gear case oil (if needed)
• Inspect all belts and pulleys (replacement extra)
